There is a well-known saying about buses in how you wait for one before three come along at once. This has proved a similar case for moving and handling manufacturer Care & Independence who have just been shortlisted as finalists in three upcoming awards.
The British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) published the news that Care & Independence were one of just three finalists as Manufacturer of the Year 2024 in the prestigious industry-specific BHTA annual awards. “To be shortlisted for Manufacturer of the Year from amongst competitors and fellow industry peers is a real honour,” said Managing Director, Ian Jones. “To be acknowledged by our industry body for all that we do as a manufacturer is gratifying. We invest heavily in production and new product development, and across the business we continually seek methods and processes to improve both operational performance and best business practices across multiple disciplines. Our ultimate goal is to improve the lives of 1 million people per year by 2031, which we are well on the way to achieving. We will continue to strive for excellence in all that we do and look for more ways in which we can work for the benefit of the greater good.”
Fast forward 24 hours and Care & Independence were rejoicing again with the confirmation of double finalist status in ‘Large Business’ and ‘Business Person of the Year’ categories in the Cherwell Business Awards within Oxfordshire. Established in 2011, the annual Cherwell Business Awards, recognise and celebrate excellence and success of local businesses and people. Of becoming finalists Sales & Marketing DIrector James Bennett had this to say: “From a personal perspective it is humbling to have been nominated and subsequently shortlisted as Business Person of the Year.
